AAPI Giving Challenge
2023 AAPI CEO Dinner

TAAF x Forbes Celebrate 2nd annual AAPI CEO Dinner

On September 26, TAAF and Forbes brought together 170 trailblazing AAPI CEOs, leaders, and executives for our second annual AAPI CEO dinner to celebrate the power of leadership and community as we continue to build and support future AAPI business leaders. In convening these leaders and allies, we addressed the longstanding lack of representation, career mobility, and visibility for AAPIs in corporate America.

  • TAAF Board members Sheila Lirio Marcelo, Joe Tsai, and Jerry Yang spoke to moderator Maneet Ahuja, Founder & Editor-at-Large of Iconoclast, Forbes, stressing the importance of leveraging our collective power to enact inclusive change so AAPIs can break through corporate barriers and build stronger pipelines to leadership. It is only through representing and supporting each other that we can rise together and create belonging in all levels in the workplace.
  • Starbucks CEO Laxman Narasimhan also spoke to Nikhil Deogun, former Editor-in-Chief of CNBC; CEO of the Americas & U.S. Senior Partner of Brunswick Group, on his personal journey and how he cultivates growth, innovation and inclusive leadership at his company.

We are grateful to our partners at Forbes and Starbucks for partnering with us on this inspiring event.

The reality is—you have to represent. You must take that accountability seriously.
